Commodore
To all City Point Yacht Club Members The final cold snowy days of winter are upon us but there is less than a month until the first boat goes into the water. Thank you to all who attended the game dinner. It was another great dinner prepared in “He l l ’s Kitchen” with Chef Jerry Lehr. I would like to thank all of those who helped with the cooking, preparing andclean up. It was a great day. We will be hosting a membership drive to coincide with Life Members Day to show people the heritage of our club. This will be on April 18, 2010. The purpose of doing this on the same day is to show future members that CPYC is more than a “inexpensive” place to dock your boat, it is the foundation of friendship, culture and memories for young and old alike. Help spread the word to any perspective new members. I would like to thank Lou DiLella for serving as an officer in some capacity for the last 25 years. We wish him well as Commodore at Branford Yacht Club. I would also like to thank Mike Pomitcher for being a trustee and for always being there when called upon. Nice to see everyone at the Winter Blues party – hosted by the Regatta Committee. It was sure a great time. It is good to come down to the club and relax and spend time with friends! As always, I would like to thank all of my officers for their countless hours, hard work and dedication .Looking forward to seeing everyone soon at a function, for a social night out, or for the upcoming boating season! Sincerely, Frank Besciglia, Jr. |
