To all City Point Yacht Club Members

Our annual Opening Day showed a much smaller turn out compared to past years. Despite the smaller numbers, it was a good time and great to see those of you who attended. Going forward, some changes will be made with regard to Opening Day ceremonies and events so hopefully more folks will get involved and take part in the festivities.

While our annual Work Party also turned out a small crew, a huge amount of work was done. Thank you to everyone who helped out. Please stop by the club if you have not been there in sometime so you can see the clean up work, repairs, and improvements that have been made.

The I-95 bridge project is going smoothly and currently is running ahead of schedule. This project will not affect this years boating season.

Frank DiSpazio (Past Commodore) past away recently. We remember Frank for the work he did while a member and officer and credit him with starting the Building Fund as well as negotiating the deal for erecting the billboard on CPYC property.

Mark your calendars for some upcoming great events. The annual Clam Bake is on June 26th, the Sand Bar Party on July 25th, and the F ami l y Picnic on September 11th. These are all days f i l l e d with fun, l a u gh s , m e m o - ries and friends. Be sure not to miss out. The Clam Bake and Family Picnic require a lot of help with setting up and cleaning up. Please volunteer to help out if you can.

Finally, to my fellow officers and committee members, I want to thank each of you for your support and countless hours you give unselfishly. I certainly could not do my job as commodore without your assistance. To each of my fellow members, I want to thank you for the honor and privilege you have given me to serve as your Commodore for the 2010 season. As always, have a safe and terrific boating season and hope to see you at the club!

Sincerely,

Frank Besciglia, Jr.
Commodore
